DESCRIPTION:Lethbridge Folk Club OPEN STAGE\n\n\n\nAlways on the 2nd Friday of the month September to May.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur FIRST Open Stage of the Year.  at McKillop Church\n\n\n\nAll are welcome to the Lethbridge Folk Club’s ‘Open Stage’ evenings\, where we host local performing musicians and poets at McKillop United Church: 2329 15th Avenue South\, Lethbridge\, Alberta \n\n\n\nLethbridge Folk Club will provide you with a stage with sound facilities at no cost so that you can perform some of your own music\, music you have borrowed\, or poetry of your choice. You will also have an eager and appreciative audience to listen to and perhaps dance to your musical performance! \n\n\n\nEnter at the main entrance\, turn left\, and go up the stairs to the hall.  Donations are appreciated to help pay for the venue. \n\n\n\nWe are looking for a $5.00 contribution to support our Open Stage program. His 2024 acclaimed history-themed album ‘Prairie Fire’ is based on captivating story songs of 19th century Prairies and Western Plains.  All three albums were recorded with Grammy nominee and celebrated JUNO award-winning producer-engineer Miles Wilkinson. \n\n\n\nTim is also a published author. His book Everyday Heroes\, which is a national bestseller\, includes a chapter on one of his adventures in the line of duty.   \n\n\n\nAcoustic performer Henk van Ginneken\, backs up vocals with harmonicas\, guitars\, mandolin and 6-string banjo. As well as headlining\, Henk has opened for the likes of Bill Bourne\, Tim Williams\, Oscar Lopez\, Barachios\, Jerusalem Ridge and Ken Hamm to name a few.
