DESCRIPTION:Join us for our open stage October 10th 2025\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLethbridge Folk Club OPEN STAGE\n\n\n\nAlways on the 2nd Friday of the month September to May.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur Open Stage nights continue. \n\n\n\nJoin us to sing\, play\, hone your musical skills or just come and listen. \n\n\n\n All are welcome to the Lethbridge Folk Club’s ‘Open Stage’ evenings\, where we host local performing musicians and poets at McKillop United Church: 2329 15th Avenue South\, Lethbridge\, Alberta \n\n\n\nThe dates for 2025 and 2026 are: This Year’s Open Stage nights are on: \n\n\n\nOctober 10th\, 2025 \n\n\n\nNovember 14th\, 2025 \n\n\n\nJanuary 9\, 2026 \n\n\n\nFebruary 13\, 2026 \n\n\n\nMarch 13\, 2026\, \n\n\n\nApril 10\, 2026\, \n\n\n\nand May 8\, 2026 \n\n\n\nLethbridge Folk Club will provide you with a stage with sound facilities at no cost so that you can perform some of your own music\, music you have borrowed\, or poetry of your choice. You will also have an eager and appreciative audience to listen to and perhaps dance to your musical performance! \n\n\n\nEnter at the main entrance\, turn left\, and go up the stairs to the hall.  Donations are appreciated to help pay for the venue. \n\n\n\nWe are looking for a $5.00 contribution to support our Open Stage program. Her genre-bending tendencies\, powerful sound\, and story-driven songwriting has been described as “some of the finest folk rock currently being made” (Amplify Music Magazine) and “a masterclass in musical innovation and creativity” (Certified Bop). \n\n\n\n\nHer recently released LP\, Songs to a Wild God\, has been praised for the way her “powerful songwriting” and “multi-octave voice” explore thoughtful impressions on the environment we inhabit alongside personal reflections. Songs to a Wild God hit #1 on CKUA Radio\, #5 on the Folk Alliance International Charts\, and was one of the only independently released albums to debut in the Top 50 on the Canadian National Charts. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe official music video for “Old Man River” by Mallory Chipman ft.
