DESCRIPTION:Join us for our first open stage of the season Friday\, October 9th\, 2026\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLethbridge Folk Club OPEN STAGE\n\n\n\nAlways on the 2nd Friday of the month September \, October\, November and again in the Spring until May.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur Open Stage Nights continue on\, October\, 9th\, 2026\, 7 pm.\n\n\n\nJoin us to sing\, play\, hone your musical skills or just come and listen. \n\n\n\nAll are welcome to the Lethbridge Folk Club’s ‘Open Stage’ evenings\, where we host local performing musicians and poets at McKillop United Church Hall: 2329 15th Avenue South\, Lethbridge\, Alberta \n\n\n\nLethbridge Folk Club will provide you with a stage with sound facilities at no cost so that you can perform some of your own music\, music you have borrowed\, or poetry of your choice. You will also have an eager and appreciative audience to listen to and perhaps dance to your musical performance! \n\n\n\nThe dates for 2026 are: This Year’s Open Stage nights are on: \n\n\n\nOctober 9th\, 2026\,  \n\n\n\nand November 13th. \n\n\n\nAnd resume in the Spring\, after Christmas\, watch for the announcement. \n\n\n\nEnter at the main entrance\, turn left\, and go up the stairs to the hall.  Donations are appreciated to help pay for the venue. \n\n\n\nWe are looking for a $5.00 contribution to support our Open Stage program. Online contributions to our Open Stage and other programs are gifts and cannot be used as a tax receipt. \n\n\n\nAlberta Registries Corporate Access Number 50202370 \n\n\n\nReturn Policy \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOctober 17th at Army Navy Air Force Veterans Club\, 7:00 pm\, Crooked Path\, with Charlie Ewing opening. \n\n\n\nCROOKED PATH’ is a 5-piece Acoustic Roots Band that enjoys a variety of genres that include: BLUEGRASS\, COUNTRY ROOTS\, OLD TIME & SWING. \n\n\n\nWe came together as a group whose paths crossed through different bands and at different times\, but mostly through our love of blending three (3) and four (4) part harmonies. \n\n\n\nThe band is composed of the musical talents of; Cédric Blary (CLARINET)\, Al LaMonaca (BANJO)\, Boh Woodward (UPRIGHT BASS)\, Maureen Woodward (GUITAR)\, Amber-Lynn Yourk (MANDOLIN) and\, on occasion or by special request\, ‘CROOKED PATH’ has the privilege of sharing the stage with one of Calgary’s finest (FIDDLER)\,Bruce Rohn. \n\n\n\nCharlie Ewing is a well-known and loved troubadour born in Cutbank\, Montana\, in wind-swept Glacier County just thirty miles south of the Medicine Line. His parents moved to the Porcupine Hills of Alberta\, about 130 miles north\, when he was a long yearling\, and he has lived there for most of his life\, ranching and living the cowboy lifestyle that dominates his song writing.
