His music and songs reflect the life he lives and observes. Driven with love and passion, this is music for all ages. His original songs all engage with his audiences, and they leave with a good taste in their soul.
One of the hardest working musicians in Alberta”

“With a famine of female singers in Canada at the time, Kaldor developed her songwriting acumen and comfortable stage presence becoming part of the ‘Canadian Wave.'” Pieter Hofmann, Dirty Linen, Baltimore

A chance-meeting at a folk festival almost thirty years ago has led to a musical collaboration between two singer-songwriters, James Keelaghan from Canada and Jez Lowe from England, that has seen them play to audiences around the globe, from North America to Australia and to Europe, and which continues to this day.
Every couple of years they each take a break from their busy solo careers to share stages and songs and inspire each other with their voices, their wit and a friendship that lights up each performance. The pair share an Irish heritage that certainly informs their writing and brings with it an enthusiasm for boundary-breaking and story-telling in song that is both infectious and enthralling, timeless and contemporary, unpredictable and yet focused. In other words, they surely and inevitably bring the best out of each other.
The Lovebullies lineup of Paul Jahn, Joni Brent, Chantal Vitalis, Andrea Revel and Caroline Connolly have been playing together for the better part of two decades. Their vintage-pop-rock vibe, combined with a high-octane, visually dynamic stage show, makes them favourites in Calgary’s music scene.
Join us at McKillop United Church at 7:00 pm. for Friends & Folk, our annual fundraiser. With special musical guests Maureen Chambers & Ryland Moranz, and Olson. Come expecting great music, snacks, and maybe even a few Christmas songs.
COME ON OUT FOR A PERFORMANCE WITH A FEATURED ARTIST AND STAY FOR AN OPEN MIC OR JAM!
Each night features a special performer, and the audience is encouraged to jam along or come up to the mic and bring their INNER FOLKIE… out.
Thank you so much for supporting the Lethbridge Folk Club.
