The Lethbridge Folk Club presents award-winning and nominated singer-songwriter, music educator and artist in residence Mallory Chipman.
Join our event on October 18th, 2025, at the Army Navy Air Force Veterans Club as we continue our fall season with Mallory Chipman, with Veronica Raine opening.
With 5 records to her name and successful tours across Canada, Europe, and Japan, Canadian singer-songwriter Mallory Chipman is forging new paths on the music scene. Her genre-bending tendencies, powerful sound, and story-driven songwriting has been described as “some of the finest folk rock currently being made” (Amplify Music Magazine) and “a masterclass in musical innovation and creativity” (Certified Bop).
Her recently released LP, Songs to a Wild God, has been praised for the way her “powerful songwriting” and “multi-octave voice” explore thoughtful impressions on the environment we inhabit alongside personal reflections. Songs to a Wild God hit #1 on CKUA Radio, #5 on the Folk Alliance International Charts, and was one of the only independently released albums to debut in the Top 50 on the Canadian National Charts.
Also known as one half of the rising alt-country duo The Goddamsels, Mallory Chipman is a true raconteuse, praised for her work as both a solo artist and collaborator, and for her skills as a songwriter, arranger, producer, and music scholar.
Veronica Raine is a singer/songwriter known for her heartfelt lyrics and captivating melodies. Veronica has cultivated a distinctive musical style that blends folk, pop, and indie elements. is an indie folk singer/songwriter from Southern Alberta, whose music is deeply rooted in personal storytelling and authentic connection. A self-taught musician, Veronica began performing publicly at thirteen, playing any open mic that would let her through the door.
Beyond the stage, Veronica is dedicated to the craft of music itself—constantly writing, performing, and expanding her skills in areas like production and arrangement. She views her artistry as a lifelong journey of growth and exploration and is passionate about sharing that journey with others. Through her music, Veronica aims to inspire people to embrace their own stories, to stay resilient, and to find beauty in both the light and the dark moments of life.
