Mark Sadlier-Brown plays a mixture of roots, blues, rockabilly and original music. He honed his skill playing with the Alien Rebels, The Highwater Jug Band and The Bag Boys. His band consists of Mark’s family and friends and is a labour of love. Band members enjoy the sounds of an old style vintage instruments.
This can be said of tonight’s artists. Music is heart-felt, melodic, rhythmic and dynamic. Various styles make each song unique.
Lyrics drawn from personal experience and Alberta landscapes convey universal themes.

Join us for Porchfest Lethbridge, a family-friendly, walkable, free, one-day music festival featuring 6 artists presenting a one-hour show in the front yards of 6 homes in one central neighbourhood, London Road, at staggered times between 12 and 7 pm on August 29th, with a grand finale concert at Kinsmen Park in London Road at 7:30 PM

James Keelaghan, too, burrows into that same rich seam with equal ability and comparable conviction. To quote Eric Bibb, the award-winning American acoustic bluesman, after listening to Keelaghan perform: “ a joy to hear, just beautiful. Reminded me of the best of the best of another time – Liam Clancy, Tom Paxton etcetera.” Less colourful but more succinct, Dave Marsh, the eminent Rolling Stone critic, simply described Keelaghan as “Canada’s finest songwriter.”
The Lovebullies lineup of Paul Jahn, Joni Brent, Chantal Vitalis, Andrea Revel and Caroline Connolly have been playing together for the better part of two decades. Their vintage-pop-rock vibe, combined with a high-octane, visually dynamic stage show, makes them favourites in Calgary’s music scene.
